The All-American Rejects Release New Album Teaser

They say there’s nothing harder than writing a follow-up to a hit record. The All-American Rejects had a hit in 2008 with When The World Comes Down, and have been working on their next release since. You may have already seen the previous teasers “Talking to the Water,” “Chris on Auto Pilot” and “Man’s Best Friend,” which feature members of the band talking about the inspiration for the record, and what it means to them.

The name of the album is still super top-secret, but it’s slated for a Spring 2012 release.

We’ve Got You Covered

The All-American Rejects have been trickling bits of their still-untitled 2012 release onto the internet.

Our friends at Idolator premiered the first cinematic clip last Thursday, along with the musing from AAR’s fearless frontman Tyson Ritter that, “This is a record that will save you if you want to be saved.”

Celebuzz hosted the second teaser, featuring AAR drummer Chris Gaylor talking about the album’s title track.

And now, we give you teaser #3

The All-American Rejects Tease Upcoming Album

The All-American Rejects‘ dirty little secret is out — they have a new album being released in the Spring of 2012, and Celebuzz has an exclusive teaser for the highly anticipated tunes.

Drummer Chris Gaylor described the album (the title not yet revealed), disclosing: “Remember when you were on the cusp of being an adult? You know, you were like 16, 17 years old kid, and, you know, I guess you were too young to count but too old to care. … It’s about the time when you had almost zero accountability for whatever you did and you felt invincible.”

He also gave a little insight into the title track, saying:

“The lyrics paint a pretty vivid picture. That [song] could probably explain more than anyone could, what the album is about really.”

The All-American Rejects Tease Their Upcoming Album: Idolator Premiere

The All-American Rejects have been hard at work completing the follow-up to their 2008 release When The World Comes Down (featuring their Top 10 hit “Gives You Hell”), and in Spring 2012, the pop-rockers will finally unleash what frontman Tyson Ritter calls their “crazy autobiographical” album. In the cinematic teaser for the band’s new LP, Ritter discusses the LP in voiceover as we see him hit the studio (complete with a full orchestra), and get introspective on the beach. Hear Ritter hype up his band’s fourth studio LP in an exclusive teaser below.

“The whole sort of theme of this record is, we’ll all sort of find our way,” says Ritter in the black-and-white clip of the new album, which is expected to drop Spring 2012. “You have to get lost to find yourself.”

For All-American Rejects’ fans, Ritter promises more than just fresh new tunes: “This is a record that will save you if you want to be saved.”

Each song was born at a separate time and in a different place and each has its own life and vibe. We didn’t know if the songs would work together. It’s like a lady with 12 babies and she gave each one out separately … and then one day they all met up. That would be heavy, huh?
Nick Wheeler, ladies.
