For the band’s first video in three years, the All-American Rejectscalled in the reserves: cheerleaders, bearded hipsters, a barbershop quartet and even Wayne Newton, who leads a parade through the Universal Studios backlot.

The upbeat “Beekeeper’s Daughter” is the first taste of the alt-rock act’s grown-up fourth album, “Kids in the Street.”

“‘Beekeeper’s Daughter’ was the starting point of the journey, and it’s about this guy who’s this crazy, self-absorbed guy who thinks he owns the world and is bullet-proof,” singer Tyson Ritter told Billboard.com on the set of the video.

It’s an autobiographical effort for Ritter, who says he hit a rough patch after the band’s “When the World Comes Down” exhaustive tour came to an end.

“I feel like I had this crazy lifetime of experience to write about and actually talk about for the first time as an adult,” he said.
